Old Reliable 10K

I ran my first barefoot 10K on November 15, Old Reliable in downtown Raleigh. Mind you, this is only four months after starting my barefoot transition and probably too soon, but it was a blast!

I carried my FiveFingers just in case but they were just ballast in the end.

The roads were pretty beat up from construction but I actually aimed towards most of the rough spots. As Barefoot Ken Bob puts it, rough surfaces teach us to run more lightly and I have found that he’s right. There are now long stretches when I feel like I’m just gliding across the road surface.
